Kadriye and Yalin’s fall wedding in Molyvos was beautifully inspired by the timeless charm of Ancient Greece, seamlessly blending the couple’s vision with the picturesque surroundings of this traditional village on the northern coast of Lesvos island. Known for its medieval castle overlooking the sea, stone-built mansions, narrow cobblestone streets draped in bougainvillea, and its charming harbor, Molyvos offered the perfect setting for a celebration rooted in history and artistry. «Our families have always loved the Greek islands, their atmosphere and unique character, so the idea of having our wedding in Molyvos came from them. As a designer, I had already studied about Ancient Greece and mythology, while Yalın, being an engineer who also works with design tools, enjoyed creating details like our invitations inspired by the theme. That led us to carry the Ancient Greek inspiration into the wedding decorations as well.» the bride shared with us. Guided by the expertise of Menta Weddings, every detail reflected this theme: the ceremony space was adorned with lush arrangements of roses and hydrangeas, while the bridal bouquet stood out with graceful orchids. White and gold details were woven throughout, from the table settings featuring antique-style statues reminiscent of Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, to the refined glassware and carefully chosen accents that carried the narrative of classical beauty. Elevated floral displays added presence to the garden ceremony, uniting nature’s richness with artistic references that felt both timeless and personal.

«We met in 2015 through mutual friends who thought we’d get along since we shared the same taste in music, similar interests and outlook on life. They were right. He proposed me during an intimate dinner.»

«We wanted a simple, elegant wedding with our closest family, friends and with the support of Gabriela from Menta Weddings and Panagiotis from Aphrodite Hotel, all our ideas came to life. Knowing that our photo and video team, Puci Wedding Story, would do a wonderful job, we wanted to turn each reception area into a work of art. We chose a color palette of white and gold, with touches of blue to reflect the Greek spirit. White flowers, candles, antique-style statues, golden bowls and fresh fruits set the scene, while the bridal bouquet was a chic arrangement of white blooms. We truly enjoyed every part of the reception, but if we had to pick one highlight, it would be the daylight fireworks during the wedding ceremony and it was such a surprise for everyone.»

«For my wedding dress I wanted something timeless yet modern. A design that felt truly like me rather than a trend. It also had to match our theme and the open-air setting: simple, elegant, yet unique. We worked with Turkish designer Züleyha Kuru and her team, known for her distinctive and original creations.»

«One of our favorite moments was the ceremony itself, where we included our families, walking in with our parents and having our siblings as our witnesses. After the wedding ceremony, we followed a Greek tradition of walking through rice and flower petals, which became even more meaningful once we learned the story behind it.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is do not focu on making it perfect, make it yours. Use the power of art, add details that reflect you as a couple and above all, enjoy it with your family and friends.
