A Greek island wedding will never fail to wow us, and the intimate wedding of Anna and Aaron has us swooning from the very first moment. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Santorini, this destination celebration was a stunning multi-cultural affair that made our hearts beat a bit faster. Bursting with vibrant colors and rich burnt orange hues in the florals, every detail was captured flawlessly by Wedding Photographer: Pahountis Photography. As the bride shared, “It was important to us to have the wedding decor reflect our integration of cultures, this includes having hanging Chinese lanterns and fortune cookies to symbolize luck and happiness.” From the dreamy sea views to the artful blend of tradition and modern elegance, Anna and Aaron’s special day is the kind of wedding magic we live for.

«We met interning at the same company 8 years ago. It was a big company and we did not work in the same department so we consider ourselves lucky to have met. We happened to notice each other at an orientation session and again in an elevator. 6 years later, we were in Toronto and went for dinner at one of our favourite local spots. We mostly chatted about our upcoming Italy trip, there was suspicion a proposal would happen on the trip. However, when we got home from dinner, the house was filled with flowers and Aaron proposed then it was an absolute surprise. It was private with just us and our beloved dog, it was perfect.»

«For my wedding decoration I chose wildflowers as our aesthetic, a reflection of how differences result in beautiful things. We had flowers and eclectic candles throughout the table. Our love language is hosting dinners with our family and friends so it felt like we brought a bit of home to beautiful Santorini. It was important to us to have the weddng decor reflect our integration of cultures, this includes having hanging Chinese lanterns and fortune cookies to symbolize luck and happiness.»

«I loved so many wedding dresses. I actually ended up with 4! Since it was a destination wedding, I went with no proofs or beads. I squeezed all of my dresses in a carry on. »

My favourite moment in my wedding is our first look and private vows were special to us. One of the surprising favourite moments was the speeches, we really felt the love and support from our family and friends who travelled thousands of miles to be with us.

«My advice for a bride who is now planning her wedding is to do whatever you want! Weddings have a lot of “rules” and you’ll enjoy yourself the most when you make them yourself (e.g we didn’t do a first dance because that didn’t feel like us). If there’s any day to be your authentic selves, it’s your wedding day.»
