«We met at the birthday party of a close friend of Andre. Fortunately, I was actually brought along to the party by my friend, as an extra guest. We started talking and played a bit of billiards and the rest is history. Andre proposed me at the love bridge in Ayia Napa. Before the proposal, we visited Nissi Beach and the nearby sculpture park. Andre has a lot of family in Cyprus, including his grandparents, uncle, aunty and cousins, but Andre and I are both from Australia.»

“I like to think that Nick came into my life right when I was supposed to meet him…right when I needed him most. I am a cardiac registered nurse, and I was working on my unit during the start of the COVID pandemic when the world changed in front of my eyes. I work at a hospital in New York, so within days of the world shutting down, my unit was transitioned into a COVID intensive care unit where we fostered the sickest COVID patients who were fighting for their lives. It was then when I made the drastic decision to move out of my parents’ home and find someplace to live during the pandemic so I can protect my family from this sickness that I saw take so many lives from. Within twelve hours of looking, I found a nice little apartment far from home. The nights I had off from work were lonely, so I decided to open a dating app. Little did I know I was going to find my future husband. Nick and I came across each other on this app and it was instant fireworks. Something felt so different about him. It was almost an instinctual feeling that he was meant for me. We would spend that next month talking all day every day. After a hard shift at work I would look forward to calling him on my way home. He helped me cope with the tragedy I saw at work, and he gave me reason to smile and laugh during a period of time where the world was such a scary place. We spent hours on the phone, I’m talking 6 or 7 hours, conversation was just endless with him. His presence brought me to a better place mentally, and he was the best part of my day. We finally decided to meet in real life about a month in to talking. Some would say it was reckless of him to hang out with a COVID nurse during a pandemic! I’m glad he did. I told my best girlfriends just days after we met that Nick would be my greatest love, I just knew”, Christina shared with us.

“Nick proposed on July 8th, 2021. He had asked me if I wanted to meet up with two of our friends in Green Port New York at one of the local wineries in town. He knows I love wine so of course I said yes. We get to the vineyard and our friends are conveniently “running late”. I noticed Nick to be particularly sentimental this day, but I didn’t think anything of it. He is like this and that’s why I love him so much. He has asked me to walk towards the bluff at the vineyard so we can enjoy the beautiful view. Once we got there Nick had politely asked me to sit down at one of the picnic tables…”

“I never truly understood when people had said they blacked out during the proposal speech, but after Nicks speech I can fully understand how it can happen! From all I can remember, Nick takes my hand and says to me “I want to marry you”’ ….this was something we would say to each other quite often, so I responded to him with “I want to marry you too”! Nick looks at me, gets down on one knee and says, “for real this time”.

“Try to enjoy every moment of it. Do not stress the small things because at the end of the day, you’re marrying your best friend”, Christina shared with us.

Danny decided to make the perfect proposal to Penny at the seafront of Lythos Venue in Rhodes and we couldn’t resist to share it with you! “We are childhood sweethearts that met at work. Danny asked for my dad’s permission to marry me back in our home in Scotland. He went down on one knee and proposed on a private beach setting in Greece, Rhodes. There was a candlelight dinner set-up by the sea and we stayed until the sunset. The set-up was perfect, in a quiet secluded area with beautiful candles and flowers. It was a magical experience, better than anything I had ever dreamed of”, Penny shared with us.

The bride shares with us: “We had a fall wedding in Santorini. We met in 2015 thru a friend, right after I met Jose Luis I went to Asia on vacations and we were on the phone all night and day long, two months later we started dating and he asked me to be his girlfriend right at sunset by the bayside in South Padre Island, Texas. It was a beautiful sunset, that we will never forget. Six months later on a last-minute surprise getaway to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, He proposed at a beautiful beach called Maraika. I said yes and he also proposed for us to get married many times to celebrate our love. Six months later we got married in McAllen, Texas and one month later we got married again in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. For our 5-year anniversary we decided to renew our vows in Santorini, Greece with a beautiful elopement.”

“Since this was our 5th year anniversary, the wood wedding, I wanted a romantic bohemian theme decoration. Our wedding decoration was a wooden triangle arch that had the Aegean Sea, volcano and caldera as our backdrop. The arch was decorated with pampas, different type of roses and eucalyptus leaves. In order to stand more comfortable on the ground during the ceremony, we had put down some vintage carpets. Everything matched with the natural look of the environment. My wedding dress was a long flutter sleeve crew neck floral beaded mesh gown. I loved the bohemian – romantic look perfect for the Greek vibe. it was nude -champagne color. It was from the designer Adrianna Papell. Our favorite part was the vows by the cliffside where we had a breath-taking view to the most magical sunset ever.”

“We met at university when we were 18. We were best friends throughout university and after we finished we got together. He proposed by asking my family to book a family holiday to Kefalonia, Greece so I wouldn’t suspect anything. My sister told me one evening she had booked a fancy cliff top restaurant for dinner. I thought Nim was in London the whole time so I’ve was beyond shocked when I got out the car at the top of the most beautiful cliff and saw him standing there with a bouquet of flowers and a string quartet playing our song. It was honestly the most perfect romantic proposal and I was over the moon. The next day his family also flew out and we all celebrated together which was so fun. The day after that he told me he had one more surprise which was that he had booked for us to go to Santorini for our engagement-moon! «We met through mutual friends but it was our love for working out that initially sparked our friendship! Sotiri had asked me out on a gym date and we really bonded over our love for fitness. Our friendship blossomed into something more mature as we got to know each other and found that we shared similar values around the importance of family, our love for Greece, and most importantly, we both knew every lyric in all of the Pantelidis songs. Fast forward 5 years later, Sotiri got down on one knee during our 2020 trip to British Colombia, Canada where he proposed on a bridge that looks out to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains. I had no idea that he was going to propose to me in British Colombia, seeing as we were supposed to go to Greece that summer…but Covid-19 was quite the curveball that summer! As he was getting down on one knee, I had a million thoughts racing through my mind, such as whether or not he was pulling a prank on me, in which case I would’ve killed him, and also trying to simultaneously battle my fear of heights, as we were 100 something meters off the ground! All these thoughts fled my mind when he presented a stunning ring and asked me to marry him. I nervously replied, “Did you ask my dad?” and then proceeded to cup my trembling hands together as I was terrified that the ring would fall between the cracks of the bridge. Thankfully all went smoothly, and together with the encouraging cheers of the nearby tourists and Sotiri’s brother who was playing the role of a photographer that day, I finally responded, “YES!”», Katerina shared with us.

What a better place for Sophia and George to have their prewedding shoot than this historical place in Preveza next to the Ionian see. The talented team of Pompon Story has created a romantic setting with white candles in gold bases, incredible cocktails with beautiful blossoms inside the glasses and sweets in vintage plates. The unique peach blooms of roses, dahlias and eucalyptus by Elpida Salouka were perfectly decorated all the rest of this amazing scene. We spent four wonderful days together outside Bern, in Geneva, Montreux and Zurich photographing their love, to create their wish book that would show to their loved ones their lives in Switzerland. The book was loved by the couple’s guests and gave them the opportunity to write their wishes, each in their own way and thus create a wonderful album whose value increases over the years.”

All dressed up in white and ready to bring out the Greek model in us. A requirement for any sunrise shoot on Santorini. The streets were empty. Not a cruise or tourist horde within sight. We didn’t have our morning dose of caffeine yet, but both of us were looking forward to this romantic experience. Thanks to the beautiful sunrise and our enthusiastic, charming, and fun photographers, Christina & Stathis from Studio 123 we were able to shine and have the early-bird-version of us captured on camera. The chemistry that they eventually caught on camera still carries us away to that memorable summer day”.

We had no idea how our lives would change, eternally, after this newly found love started to grow”.

“Our favourite moment was when the sun started to rise. The bright, white unique structures in Oia were flooded with a warm glow, as the Caldera slowly came to life. In awe of it all, we felt comfortable being our goofy, loving selves in the streets of Oia”.
