Emily and Konstantinos’ wedding on the enchanting island of Serifos was the definition of romantic simplicity, beautifully blended with boho chic details and an authentic Cycladic vibe. From Koumpares, who flawlessly designed and curated every moment, to Vassiliki Creations, who adorned the setting with pampas grass, peach-toned roses, dried leaves, eucalyptus, and delicate branches of olive, every detail spoke of natural elegance. The ceremony took place in a whitewashed chapel overlooking the endless Aegean Sea, where a charming blue wooden door was decorated with a garland of pampas grass and white hydrangeas. For the reception, woven placemats, burnt orange linen napkins, rustic baskets and white candles atop wooden tables created a warm, organic ambiance that perfectly celebrated the boho spirit, as the bride shared: «Our wedding décor had a boho style, with woven baskets as the main element, bringing a natural and cozy feel to the space. A special detail in the decoration was the olive leaves, which not only added a touch of Greek tradition but also symbolized peace and love.» The wedding wreaths by Joanna Plakidou completed the ceremony with a subtle yet timeless touch of tradition, full of symbolism and emotion. «We first met through work and started spending time together as friends. Over time, that friendship grew into something deeper and we eventually became a couple. We decided to live together right away, which made our bond even stronger. After three years of living together, on Christmas Day, he gave me the most beautiful proposal and of course, I said the big “yes”. From the very beginning, we both dreamed of getting married in August, with only our closest family and friends, wanting to say goodbye to summer with the sweetest memory surrounded by our loved ones. However, we didn’t rush things and ended up planning our wedding in Serifos, a year later, in just three months. It brought us closer, we enjoyed every moment without stress, and it made the whole preparation experience even more special! Our trip to Serifos is forever etched in our hearts and it was truly one of the most magical experiences we have ever shared with our friends and families. It is something we would relive from the very start without a second thought!»

«The greek Love4weddings website helped us so much when it came to choosing the color combinations for decorating both the church and the reception venue.»

«Our wedding décor had a boho style, with woven baskets as the main element, adding a natural and warm feeling to the space. For my bouquet, we chose mostly white and orange-coral roses, eucalyptus, and pampas grass, creating a combination that felt fresh and romantic. A special detail in the décor was the olive leaves, which not only brought a touch of Greek tradition but also symbolized peace and love. Olive leaves were also part of our wedding crowns, adding another personal touch to the ceremony.»

«Some of our favorite details were the lemonade stand outside the church, which was made of reeds and offered such a beautiful boho vibe. For the wedding reception and party, we chose a tavern with a breathtaking view of the sea and the sunset. We didn’t want anything over the top, as the location and the view were already magical on their own. However, what stood out the most in the wedding décor were the woven light fixtures and candle votives, which created a magical atmosphere that was just perfect for enjoying the evening with our loved ones.»

«The advice I would give to a bride preparing for her wedding is to focus on what truly makes her happy and plan her wedding day in a way that allows her to enjoy it fully, because it’s such a unique moment and the joy and happiness are exactly what will shine through in the photos. She should not let stress, pressure, or other people’s opinions affect her decisions and the beauty of this special day. Also, the entire journey of wedding preparation is a unique experience in itself, and every bride should enjoy it without stress. All she needs to do is organize her thoughts, ideas, and vendors, set her budget, and simply embrace the magic of the process. Lastly, a personal tip I would share is to assign someone close to her to take on the role of photographer throughout the day, from start to finish, so she can be sure she’ll have those photos to look back on and relive every single moment.»

«A few years ago, I had randomly come across a post on Instagram from Atelier Zolotas. The moment I saw that wedding dress, I felt it was made just for me and that this would be the dress I’d wear on my wedding day on a Greek island. Since then, I had saved the image of that dress, knowing that years later (as it actually happened), I would contact that designer and ask him to create it for me, as it was the dress I had always dreamed of. Choosing my gown from Atelier Zolotas was no coincidence. It was truly special and perfectly completed the boho vision I had imagined for our wedding in Serifos. I am certain I could not have chosen any other gown, as my handmade wedding dress combined all the boho, romantic, and airy elements I love and made me feel incredible, like a true Boho Gypsy Bride. As for the after-party, I went for a flowing ivory skirt and crop top set with handcrafted vintage lace details, and once again, Atelier Zolotas exceeded every expectation.»

One of my favorite moments from our wedding was, of course, the moment I arrived at the chapel and the entire duration of the ceremony. The most magical moment was our sunset photoshoot, and the funniest moment was right after the ceremony, when we secretly exchanged our first kiss as husband and wife and the priest, not seeing us, said, «Not yet.» We laughed so much, and right after he gave us his blessing, we shared our official kiss. Another moment that stood out was our reception party, the dancing, and the joyful celebration with our loved ones at the little tavern until morning.
