Gina and Hamam’s wedding at Island Resort Athens Riviera was a stunning celebration, defined by a timeless, understated style and a soft palette of white, blush, champagne and dove grey. For the ceremony, a circular floral arch overlooking the sea framed the Aegean views, its graceful shape adorned with a beautiful mixture of roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, and anthurium, all in delicate muted tones with touches of greenery. The aisle was lined with coordinated arrangements, bringing the palette and textures to every guest’s path, while the wooden chairs added warmth and subtle texture to the setting. As Gina shared with us, «Our wedding décor was everything I had hoped for—elegant, simple, and timeless.» This vision for thei wedding planned by MM Events came to life not only in the ceremony but also at the reception, where a long banquet table was set with crisp white linens, soft-hued floral centerpieces, contemporary glassware and refined tableware, all styled to reflect the same romantic sophistication. Every meaningful detail was thoughtfully captured by Pahountis Photography, who showcased the natural beauty of the day. Black and White Drums brought an energetic spirit to the celebration, while Deipnosofistirion Catering delighted everyone with a memorable menu. Gina and Hamam mentioned to us how much it meant to share their special day and how Chic and Stylish Weddings had been a true source of inspiration from the very beginning. Being featured here felt incredibly special to them, as their wedding was a heartfelt blend of cultures, stories and love—a day to reflect on with immense gratitude.

«Our love story has had its twists and turns. We first dated for three years before life led us down different paths – and a seven-year separation followed. But as fate would have it, we eventually found our way back to each other, proving that some connections are simply meant to be (even if one of us may have been a little stubborn!). He proposed on a beautiful, sunny afternoon in Franschhoek, South Africa, while we were touring the wineries. The views were unbelievable and the wine was even better. Why not have one more reason to toast!»

«My wedding dress was by Enzoani, and the moment I tried it on, I just knew it was the one. I had visited five different bridal shops and must have tried on close to 100 dresses, but nothing had felt quite right until that moment. The dress was everything I had been searching for: fitted in all the right places, full of sparkle to catch the beautiful Grecian sun, and finished with the most stunning long train. It felt glamorous and timeless, and wearing it on the day honestly felt like a dream. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect dress for me.»

My biggest piece of advice would be: don’t get too caught up in the tiny details – focus on how you want the day to feel. Things won’t always go exactly to plan, and that’s okay.

«For example, our fireworks were cancelled the day before the wedding due to high winds. It was not the best news to receive, especially since it was one of the few things my husband had really been looking forward to. But we smiled, got on with it, and you know what? It didn’t matter in the end. Fireworks or not, we still had the most incredible day. Also – trust your vendors, share your vision, and then let them do what they do best. And most importantly, take a few quiet moments to soak everything in – as cliche as it sounds – the day really does go by in a flash.»

«Our wedding décor was everything I had hoped for—elegant, simple, and timeless. I had originally wanted a bouquet of long-stem white roses, but my florist took that idea and gave it a soft, creative twist. She added delicate hydrangeas and a few textured touches, and the result completely blew me away. It was even better than what I’d pictured. For the ceremony, we had a circular floral arch overlooking the sea, filled with soft blush and ivory roses and touches of greenery. It was subtle but beautiful—nothing too overdone, just clean and romantic and let the setting speak for itself too. The flowers brought everything together and really set the tone for the whole day.»

«Thank you so much for the opportunity to share our special day – it truly means the world to us! From the very beginning, Chic and Stylish Weddings was a huge source of inspiration, so being featured here feels incredibly special. Our wedding was such a meaningful blend of cultures, stories and love, and we’re so grateful to be able to reflect on it in this way.»

Chic and Stylish Weddings was such a lovely source of inspiration during our planning. We came across a few other weddings at our venue featured on the site and it was so exciting to see how beautifully they had come together. It gave us a real sense of what was possible in the space and helped us visualise our own day even more clearly. Seeing other couples celebrate there made everything feel more real—and definitely helped build the excitement as our own big day approached!

«It’s hard to pick just one favourite moment, but having our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us truly meant the most. That feeling of being surrounded by love is something we’ll never forget. One standout moment, though, was our entrance into the reception with the Zafeh drums by Black and White Drums. It brought such a good energy to the evening – especially since it was a totally new experience for my Irish friends and family! The drummers even played along to a few classic Irish songs, which had everyone clapping and dancing straight away. It was such a fun and unexpected way to kick off the night and really set the tone for the celebration.»

A special shoutout to our incredible venue and their amazing staff – they were on the ball from start to finish. Whether it was stepping in to help a guest who fainted (before anyone else even noticed!) or gracefully letting us dance the night away right up until closing time, they were beyond attentive and kind. We also have to give credit to the caterers – the food was top notch. I was a little nervous since we didn’t do a tasting (we planned everything from abroad), but it turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. Our guests raved about it and we couldn’t have been happier. Five stars all around!
