«We had known each other since school. He is five years older than me, so when he graduated I was still just a kid. Back then he was the “cool” guy, the school crush, and he already had a girlfriend. If you had told me then that one day I would marry him, I would have thought it impossible. When I turned 18, I moved to Magdeburg for my studies, which happened to be the university city where he had once studied too. He had just returned from there but still had some ties to the city. He saw on Instagram that I was studying in Magdeburg and sent me a message, and that is how we reconnected.»

«He had been planning the proposal for a long time and it was very important to him to ask me at the Empire State Building in New York. That city holds deep meaning for him, it was his dream to show me New York and maybe even live there someday. So proposing to me there was something truly special for him. Unfortunately, in 2021, because of covid our trip was canceled literally at the airport. Instead, we went spontaneously to Mallorca, which turned out to be wonderful too. When we came back, a friend of his asked him in front of me if he had already proposed, and she said yes, which was funny because he actually hadn’t asked me yet. But since we often talked about marriage, I kind of knew something was coming. A year later, when we finally made it to New York, he waited patiently and proposed at the Empire State Building. It was such a huge surprise, with so much emotion and adrenaline, that I honestly didn’t see it coming in that moment, even though deep down I always knew he would ask me one day.»

«When I tried on my wedding dress for the first time, I didn’t expect to get emotional, but I instantly burst into tears. It was a feeling so hard to describe: the moment the zipper went up, I knew it was the one. A funny tip for other brides: don’t rely on photos when trying on wedding gowns. I only let my friends take pictures and later that night, when I looked at them, I panicked. The lighting was terrible, the angles unflattering, and the dress hadn’t been tailored to me yet. I ended up crying again, this time from disappointment. The next day I went back to try it on and thankfully I felt the same magic all over again. That was the moment I knew without a doubt it was my dress. It was strapless, something I thought I didn’t want, with soft ruffle details, fitted at the bodice and flowing into a dramatic skirt with a long train. Somehow, the dress and I just belonged together.»

«We’ve had mutual friends for years but we were speaking on Instagram for a while after Tom initially messaged me in 2018. He took me on a few dates in London before we decided to get into a relationship and we’ve been inseparable ever since. After falling pregnant with our daughter Mila, Tom proposed to me on a trip to Lake Como. The scenery was perfection, overlooking looking the Lake from a cobbled stairway in Bellagio. On one knee, Tom presented a ring that he’d personally designed (the exact style I’d always dreamed of and hinted about many times). «We met during the covid period, just before lockdown, through a random twist of fate. The proposal happened in 2024 after a year of living together. I was at home watching my favorite show when suddenly the TV screen went black and Panagiotis appeared with a little video, a heartfelt love confession, and then he came out of the room asking me to open the door because there was a package for me. When I opened it, it was a bouquet with a card guiding me, and as I turned around, he was down on one knee with the ring. It was such a personal and unpredictable proposal, exactly the kind that fits us as a couple.»

We are bringing you a destination wedding in Chania that feels like a true celebration of spring, with details that perfectly captured the couple’s joyful spirit. Alexandra and Christian chose the breathtaking Sea View by En Kipo as their venue, where the stunning setting overlooking the water provided the ideal backdrop for their day. Guests were welcomed with vibrant floral design by En Kipo, filled with seasonal colors that brightened every corner of the celebration. Adding a fun twist to tradition, instead of flower girls, the couple had “margarita men” walking down the aisle, handing out refreshing margaritas to guests on what turned out to be a very warm day, a detail that brought lots of smiles and set the tone for the festivities. «We met nearly 16 years ago at a house party. It wasn’t until 2 years later of Christian being persistent that I agreed to go out with him and now here we are! Christian proposed me in Rovaniemi in Finland. He surprised me with a holiday the morning we were flying and had booked a week off work for me by getting in touch with my boss without me knowing. We did a husky ride and then saw the northern lights. The evening we went to the top of a mountain where an outdoor fire and a small shelter where a chef was making us some food. Within 5 minutes if getting there he proposed as he said he was so nervous and wanted to enjoy the rest of the evening. It was an amazing trip!»

«I love that Christian cried as I walked down the aisle. I didn’t think he would, so this was a surprise! I also loved that instead of flower girls we had “margarita men” who walked down the aisle giving out margaritas to guests – this was very fun and it was a very hot day, so it was appreciated! We loved all the food and cocktails by Fivestar catering. Christian and I are huge foodies, so we needed to make sure there was amazing food and drink. We love an aperol spritz, so had to incorporate those and Christian grew up in Athens for a few years and his favourite dish was Pastichio, so we had to incorporate that into our menu and it was amazing. We also had a 360° camera and a photo booth whoch were both hits! Everyone enjoyed them and having those extra memories has been great!»

«My wedding dress was from a German designer. My dress was an A line dress and bigger than I initially thought I would go for but when i tried it on, I knew it was the one. It was so romantic, flowy and had flower appliqués all over it which I fell in love with. It had a semi sheer corset-like bodice with a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder small sleeves… I also had a long veil which matched and also had the flower appliqués around the edge. I lived having the veil, I wasn’t too sure to begin with but I’m so happy I chose to have it as I think it looks so good in photos and I felt more like a bride.»

My favorite moment from my wedding is right at the end of the night the DJ played a final song which Christian had requested and everyone was on the dance floor shouting this song in one big group together. When the song stopped everyone carried on singing for another 5 minutes and it was so fun and just a moment of everyone being together before the night finished.

Don’t stress too much about all the tiny details if they don’t mean a lot to you or if you feel that you “have to” to do something. It’s your day, so do what you want and what will make it the best day for you. Also it was seeing our guests smile as they cooled off with their fans, or catching Nav’s eyes as I walked down the aisle with my bridal bouquet. Sometimes it’s the quiet glances, the shared laughter, or the feeling of “we did this” that lingers most.

«Flowers arrangements were built around hydrangeas in pastel pinks, blues and lilacs. It was a very romantic style. The wedding ceremony took place outside on the old Venetian bridge in Kalopanayiotis, with the flowers spilling over the bridge. We had a string quartet and personalised fans and parasols for guests to stay cool. The reception was at Casale Panayiotis hotel, on their lawn balcony which looks over the valley. Choosing the stunning Island Resort by the sea as the backdrop, their wedding planner Jennifer Tawil created a wedding that was vibrant, joyful and full of personality. The mood was colorful and whimsical, brought to life through florals in shades of orange from soft peach to vibrant tangerine, golden yellow and warm amber accents that tied everything together. For the reception, a serpentine banquet table stole the show: Adding a contemporary highlight, The Letter Co. designed a glowing sun-inspired neon sign with wavy rays radiating outward, a playful statement piece that lit up the night and reflected the couple’s creative spirit. «My favorite moment was being in this magical setting, surrounded by the people we love, who had come from all over the world to be with us. Since my wedding dress was a piece of art on its own, I wanted something timeless and understated to balance it out.
