If we had to imagine the perfect wedding setting, it would be exactly this — a romantic summer ceremony nestled in the hills of Kefalonia, Greece, overlooking the sparkling Ionian Sea. This destination wedding was nothing short of magical combining the natural beauty of the island with modern, elegant design elements. With a backdrop that takes your breath away, the ceremony space was styled to perfection, featuring crisp white chairs arranged on a lush green hilltop and a floral aisle that led to a picture-perfect altar. Bonsonis Flowers Events curated the most exquisite arrangements of peonies, lisianthus, vibrant roses, and lush greenery, adding layers of color and romance to the already spectacular landscape. From the amazing sea views to the thoughtfully designed floral installations, every detail felt straight out of a fairytale — proving once again that Kefalonia isn’t just a travel destination, it’s a wedding dream come true.

«We met at work! I joined our company (a management consultancy) back in 2021 and met Luke in my first week of working there. Within 3 months of meeting each other, we decided to move in together. About a year later Luke proposed. On the day of the proposal, Luke told me he was taking the bins out and would be right back but then disappeared. I got a text message from him telling me to check under my pillow and there I found an envelope with a riddle. The solution to the riddle was a location where we had our first date. When I arrived there, Luke was there waiting for me… with more envelopes and riddles. We spent the day roaming around London, where we live, solving riddles that led to our different date spots. Meanwhile, my best friend was in our flat arranging the flowers, balloons, lights etc. for the proposal. Eventually (30,000 steps later!) Luke and I made it back home. Upon opening the front door I knew exactly what was happening there were see rose petals and candles leading up the stairs to a beautifully set-up room with a neon sign that read ‘will you marry me?’…. It was all so perfect.»

«I followed the Chic and Stylish Weddings when we were gathering ideas and inspiration!»

«I would use the following words to describe our wedding: intimate, chic / elegant, and summery. Our wedding took place in a beautiful private villa with a garden and pool, on top of a hill overlooking the olive groves and sea. We chose light and fresh colours for our wedding: peach, blush /pink, white, and green. Our flowers followed these colours, and there was a bouquet on every table in a glass vase. Instead of an arch, we asked to have two white columns and pedestals with large flower bouquets to frame the view of the sea rather than cut off the view (as the arch would have done). To add a little elegance, we added some gold detail to our wedding: we had gold candle holders, gold mirrored coasters, gold jewellery boxes that held white and gold boubounieres, etc. The gold mirrored coasters had peoples names on them and served as place cards and were also a nice wedding favour that people loved!»

There are too many favorite moments! Luke’s vows were wonderful, the speeches made me laugh, cry and the dancing was so much fun! I also loved Luke and my couple, photo session, it was an opportunity for us to ‘escape’ from the guests and have a moment to ourselves. Our photographers captured the tenderness and the love we have for each other perfectly.

«The advice I would give a bride who is now planning her wedding is for perfect is how YOU choose to define it! There were of course some things that didn’t go according to plan at our wedding, but those moments were also so funny and were also what made our wedding. I would also say: stick together through the day and night because it goes by so quickly!»

«My wedding dress was trumpet shaped, with a sweetheart neckline and delicate lace. The dress came with sleeves that I could put on and take off, so I got to ‘hange up my look!»
