For obvious reasons, we love elopements on Greek islands—and this Santorini elopement is definitely no exception. Kerstin and Marko traveled from Germany to say “I do” on the iconic cliffs of Santorini, surrounded by breathtaking views and warm, late-summer light. With Pia & Pia Wedding Planner Greece bringing their vision to life, every detail was carefully curated, from the stunning floral arrangements by Flowery Santorini to the mouthwatering spread by Spicy Bites Catering. “When choosing flowers, the only thing that really mattered to me was the color,” the bride shared. “Since we were getting married at the beginning of September, I wanted slightly autumnal colors and we decided that orange and dusty pink would work well.” The result? A dreamy celebration full of texture, romance, and style—made all the more perfect by Kerstin’s elegant Justin Alexander gown and the unforgettable charm of the island!

«We met through friends. After our first date, neither of us was really interested in each other. Six months later, Marko asked me out again. This time, it clicked and a month later, we were officially a couple. Marko and I spent a few days in Venice for my 30th birthday. On my birthday, we went on a gondola ride and he proposed to me.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her weddings is do not get too hung up on details, trust your wedding planners and be open to other ideas. Spend the day enjoying it and surround yourself only with people who are good for you and dear to your heart. It’s your day, not theirs.

«I went to a bridal shop and tried on five dresses. The first dress was the one I bought, it’s a dress by Justin Alexander. I love the beautiful train and the playful lace. The Carmen sleeves loosen up the look even more, and the row of buttons at the back looks very elegant.»

«When choosing flowers, the only thing that really mattered to me was the color. Since we were getting married at the beginning of September, I wanted slightly autumnal colors and we decided that orange and dusty pink would work well. Otherwise, we trusted our wedding planners and florists completely. For our wedding style, we wanted something casual and playful with a touch of boho. Our planners perfectly implemented these ideas. The most beautiful part for us was the reading of our self-written vows. At the reception, the moment when we saw each other for the first time was beautiful and breathtaking. We also thought the place and our location were a great choice. Since some towns on Santorini are quite touristy and busy, Akrotiri and the Akrorama Suite were the perfect choice for a quiet, secluded wedding without the hustle and bustle of strangers. We’re both happy to have had a small, intimate elopement just for us, allowing us to concentrate 100% on ourselves and our love.»

«Our favorite moment is reading the vows and the evening atmosphere with all the candles.»
