The stunning photos by the Pic A Bliss whisk us away to the dreamy island of Serifos, where Mary and Nicholas tied the knot against a backdrop of authentic Cycladic charm, whitewashed houses and the endless blue of the Aegean. The couple embraced a rustic chic style with white florals that beautifully complemented the island’s natural beauty, creating a romantic and serene atmosphere. Mary looked absolutely radiant in her A-line wedding dress featuring a flowing tulle skirt, V-neckline and delicate straps, a custom creation by designer Eleni Kollarou that was perfect for a summer celebration by the sea. «I knew exactly how I wanted my dress to be, and we designed it from scratch at Ms. Eleni Kollarou’s atelier. Since we live abroad, fittings were limited, but with good communication and time management, the result was exactly what I had envisioned» the bride shared with us. She also revealed how the greek site Love4Weddings became a true ally throughout her destination wedding planning journey, offering her endless inspiration and ideas for the most special day of her life! Enjoy every lovely detail!

«We met in Amsterdam, where we both live, through a mutual friend. The proposal happened at home, very casual, just a day before we were heading out to dinner with friends. I didn’t expect it at all, we were at the door about to leave when he got down on one knee and gave me the ring.»

«My advice to a bride currently planning her wedding is to always remember why she’s doing it. In the chaos of wedding planning, it’s easy to lose sight of the essence. A wedding isn’t just a ceremony, it’s the beginning of a shared life. Focus on the fact that you’re putting together a celebration of your love with your partner and don’t let the logistics distract you from that. The cake, the dress and the décor are beautiful, but what you’ll remember most vividly are the looks, the laughter, the hugs and the feeling of that day. Face any unexpected hiccups with humor.»

I think it’s hard to choose a single favorite moment, but one of the most special was when I arrived at the church and told myself, this is it, take it all in!

«We wanted to prepare as much as we could on our own together with our friends, so everyone would feel like an active part of the celebration, not just guests. Serifos is so naturally beautiful that we felt no need for over-the-top décor and wanted everything to be simple and in harmony with the landscape. My bouquet had white, green and blue tones with eucalyptus, thistle, olive branches and jasmine, and we had lots of potted basil. For the wedding favors, we filled small bottles with tsipouro and tentura to honor our hometowns, Patras and Volos. Our wedding rings were handmade by my childhood friend who’s a jeweler, and our save the date was a video made from sketches illustrating our love story, created by a close friend of Nicholas.»
