Maria & Antonis’s love story is one for the books—starting as childhood friends, they grew closer over the years until love naturally found its way into their hearts. Four years into their relationship, Antonis orchestrated a proposal that neither of them—or the 30,000 people in the stadium—will ever forget. «We’ve known each other since we were kids, as we had been friends for years. At some point, we became a couple, and the proposal came four years later—during halftime of a football match at AEK’s stadium. Two of our friends walked onto the field holding a banner that read “Maria, will you marry me?” In that moment, everything around me went silent—it was like time stopped! I turned to Antonis and saw him on one knee with the ring, and that’s how he proposed! A stadium full of nearly 30,000 people was clapping and filming us on their phones. It was a moment we’ll never forget!» Inspired by the unforgettable proposal and the team’s colors, Maria chose vibrant yellow flowers to reflect their shared passion and that special day. Even though it’s hard to pick a single favorite moment—because I truly feel I’d relive our whole wedding exactly the same—I’d say the most beautiful part might have been when I arrived at the church and saw Antonis with Alma (our little dog) waiting for me on the steps, both looking so beautiful.

«My wedding dress turned out exactly as I had imagined it. I didn’t go to any bridal boutiques because I already knew the exact design I wanted. So I went straight to Spiros Stefanoudakis “Spiros Stefanoudakis Couture”, whom I’ve known for years since we’re both from the same island, Poros. The dress was simple, with lace all over the bodice, and since I didn’t want to wear a veil, Spiros made me a long train instead.»
