Melanie and James celebrated their fall wedding in Lefkada with a modern style filled with vibrant colorful details, beautifully planned by Lefkas Weddings. The couple’s vision came to life through bold floral arrangements of pink, orange, yellow and soft pastels that created stunning pops of color against the deep blue sea. The ceremony setup by the shore featured striking geometric stands overflowing with fresh blooms by Gourioti Flowers, while disco ball accents brought a playful and stylish disco vibe flair to the day. From the welcome signs and seating chart to the table centerpieces and even the wedding cake, mirrored spheres were seamlessly integrated with fresh flowers, adding sparkle and fun to every corner. «For my wedding decoration I really wanted a bright, cheerful theme to stand out against the deep blue backdrop of the sea. While many couples choose white for their weddings, I felt a burst of colour would look stunning alongside the ocean.» the bride shared with us. We are here soaking in every detail of this vibrant fall celebration by the sea and we know you will be just as captivated by it too!

«He surprised me by proposing me on New Years Eve in our new home, in front of all of our friends and family. I definitely was not expecting him to do it in front of everyone.»

«I followed the site of ChicandStylish to help me get ideas for colours and themes and from there I found vendors.»

«For my wedding decoration I really wanted a bright, cheerful theme to stand out against the deep blue backdrop of the sea. While many couples choose white for their weddings, I felt a burst of colour would look stunning alongside the ocean. We chose a lively mix of soft pinks and warm oranges, balanced with touches of white to add variety and keep the palette fresh and vibrant. The result was playful, elegant and perfectly suited to the seaside setting.»

Lefkas Weddings shared with us: «When James and Mel first reached out to us, they were seeking more than just a wedding; they were looking for a moment of light after a challenging year. Their vision was clear: a joyful, vibrant celebration in Lefkada, surrounded by the people they love most. With just three months to plan a two-day event for 80 guests, we knew it would be a whirlwind—but with seamless coordination and a shared sense of purpose, we brought it all to life at the start of October. From the start, we loved Mel’s bold colour palette, which set the tone: bright, joyful florals that popped against the serene blue of the Ionian Sea. Her bridesmaids wore fuchsia pink, adding a playful contrast that echoed the couple’s fun-loving spirit. The bride herself designed the stationery, incorporating cherished photos of much-loved family members and pairing it with mirror balls to hint at the party atmosphere to come, a perfect blend of sentiment and personal styling.»

«The morning of the wedding was filled with laughter, champagne, and heartfelt moments. Mel and her closest friends exchanged personal letters, sparking tears, hugs, and a beautiful sense of connection. A poignant first look with her mum added emotional depth to the day, and Mel’s walk down the aisle, accompanied by her nephew, reflected their close family bond. After a heartfelt ceremony, cocktail hour kicked off on the beach, and James and Mel slipped away for a speedboat couple shoot, capturing the magic of the coastline before rejoining their guests and dancing their way into dinner on a balcony overlooking the sea. It was the kind of entrance that perfectly reflected their energy: spontaneous, joyful, and utterly unforgettable. The dancefloor came alive thanks to Sax Tom, a must-have for bride Mel and a firm favourite with the guests. His high energy and signature sound brought the party to life, creating a euphoric atmosphere that carried through the night. James and Mel’s wedding wasn’t just a party—it was a testament to resilience, love, and the power of coming together. It was an honour to help them create a day that helped them to look forward to their future with some fantastic memories.» Lefkas Weddings shared with us.

«My favorite moment from my wedding is having my nephew walk me down the aisle to James was such a special moment, especially after losing my dad the year before. It felt like a beautiful way to honour him while still creating a memory of my own. Another highlight was seeing all of my friends and family up on their feet dancing during the dinner service, the energy in the room was just incredible and everyone was having the best time. We also chose to name each table after loved ones we’ve lost, with their photo and a poem. I’d never seen that done before, and it made the day feel so meaningful, almost as if they were there celebrating with us.»

My biggest bit of advice would be to do what feels right for you and not feel like you have to follow tradition or what you’ve seen at other weddings. It’s so easy to get swept up in what other people have done and feel pressured into spending huge amounts of money.

«My dress was from Kiva and Zen Bridal in Exeter and designed by Made with Love. I knew it was the one as soon as I tried it on, it was absolutely perfect and the team at Kiva and Zen were just incredible throughout the whole journey. I actually chose the dress when we first found out my dad was ill, as we’d planned a quick UK wedding so he could be there. Sadly, he didn’t make it to the date and we ended up cancelling. The boutique kindly kept my dress safe for almost a year until the time was right to start planning again, which made finally wearing it even more meaningful.»

«We didn’t have a massive budget, so I designed all of our invites, name stands and details myself and it made everything feel so much more personal. If you want to go bright, go bright! Honestly, the best thing you can do is make it your own.»
