Margareta and Theo’s spring wedding in Athens is pure inspiration for any couple dreaming of an elegant and stylish celebration with timeless charm. This love-struck duo, each with a distinctive personal style, entrusted Marriage in Style with planning and styling their big day—and every detail was flawlessly curated in perfect harmony. The ceremony took place in front of a quaint white chapel, adorned with lush white blooms and delicate baby’s breath, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings. As the bride beautifully put it, «Our wedding decor was elegant and minimal, so it wouldn’t distract from the breathtaking landscape.» For the reception, white floral arrangements, crystal-clear candleholders, and refined tableware came together to create a setting that exuded both sophistication and freshness, adding a modern touch to the celebration. One of the undeniable highlights? The champagne tower—a stunning, artistic detail that truly elevated the guest experience. Intercatering took care of the exquisite menu and its elegant presentation, including a three-tier white wedding cake decorated with soft-toned fresh roses—simple yet stunning. And as you’ll see through the lens of Fotis Sid Photography, this stylish wedding is bound to fill your Pinterest boards with inspiration!

My advice to other brides is to plan well the getting ready part – this is a special part that often gets overlooked. Don’t overdo the flowers – simple and less often looks more classy and elegant. Also plan skincare and skin treatment far in advance – around a year and a half before. Nothing harsh a few months before the wedding.

«My wedding dress was Calla Blanche – a Canadian brand. The name of the dress was Athena. Meaningful as we got married in Athens! It was mermaid style with a long trail and it had 3D flowers and it was sleeveless.»

«Our favorite moments were walking down the aisle seeing the family and friends waiting. The backdrop was incredible. Also the first dance, we timed it so we finished the dance with a move to raise the bride at the same time fireworks went off out to sea.» the groom shared with us.

«The wedding decoration was elegant but also minimal in order not to distract from the beautiful backdrop. The bridal bouquet had white roses. The details of the ceremony we enjoyed the most were floral arch over the chapel, it didn’t distract the amazing view but enhanced it. The reception was elegant, candles around the pool, the tables had white roses in glass vases, floating candles in vases and each napkin had an olive leaf on it. Very simple and allowed guests to see each other interact without the decorations blocking them to do so.»
