Impossibly pretty wedding with elegant decor at Maison Principale | Sara & Michael

It is no secret that many couples choose classic and elegant themes for their wedding day. With inspiration and guidance from Chic and Stylish Weddings as the bride mentioned to us, Sara and Michael discovered the ideal style for their wedding and we are not able to take our eyes off. Their stylish reception took place at Maison Principale, a wedding venue with soaring cathedral ceilingsand elevated with white and green floral arrangements, elegant decor and an abundance of candles. All beautiful details were all captured in the breathtaking photos by George Mavitzis Photography that tells the story of their unforgetable day.

«We were both working in a car dealership, he was in service and I was at the bistro section. He would order 10 cups of coffee a day from me! He surprised me with a trip to St Maarten where he proposed on the balcony of our private villa.»

«We had beautiful flowers throughout the day. My bouquet was made of neat blush renonculus, soft pink roses, white Ohara Garden Roses and a touch of greenery. For the reception, we had a Chateau Style with long tables decorated with loose airy greenery, white hydrangeas, different pink roses and long floral runners. There were also many lit candles on every table and pretty cherry blossom trees elegantly placed in the corners of the room. Our favourite part of the decorations was the architecture of the reception room itself which used to be an old Church.»

The wedding day itself comes by so fast and passes even faster, so really try to cherish and enjoy every single minute of it!»

«My wedding dress was chic and elegant. It was a clean white Mikado dress with a square neckline and trumpet silhouette. For the church ceremony, I paired my dress with an intricately beaded high neck bolero.»

We could hardly take our eyes off Stephanie and Nicolas’ wedding in Montreal for so many reasons! For one the couple chose an elegant black and white theme with gorgeous baby’s breath flowers that gave a romantic vibe and secondly the couple had an amazing party. «We knew we wanted the most important tribute to our wedding to be the memory of a great party. For this reason, we decided to make the dance floor our focal point with a black and white checkered floor, in tune with our black and white overall theme… » said the bride and we just can’t wait for you to see all the details and beautiful moments captured by George Mavitzis!

«We met on a dating app called Hinge in November of 2021 and a year later got engaged! One weekday, after a long day at work, Nicolas was preparing dinner. He played to his clumsy self and pretended to drop a pile of food all over the floor. As I ran to see what a disaster was surely too clean, I found Nicolas on one knee proposing to spend the rest of our lives making these memories together. », the bride shared with us.

«Being a couple of simple tastes, we opted to decorate the venue in purely baby’s breath flowers.»

My favorite moment was being all together and seeing the everyone let go for one night.

«We met in high school and started dating at the very end of it. We had been together 10 years when Danny proposed in the parking lot of our high school! I truly did not expect it that night and it was so romantic for him to do it where it all started! », the bride shared with us.

I wanted a very romantic and timeless look so all white and cream. My bouquet was white and cream with greenery. I was in love with my flowers and decor.

«I actually loved doing the photo shoot with our bridal party and then alone with just Danny and me. As much as we couldn’t wait to get to the party, it was one of the few moments all day we were just us.»

«Another favorite moment was our entrance into the hall. That moment is when you can finally let loose and just have fun because all of the more “stressful” parts are over and it’s the beginning of the party and the rest of the night! »

My advice to other brides-to-be is to have ideas and inspiration ready and don’t settle or be persuaded by others for different looks. If you know you love something, go for it!

«I actually found my dress surprisingly quickly considering I’m never decisive for these things! I knew I wanted form fitting, lace and a long trail with a cathedral veil and Ivoire has exactly what I wanted! I think knowing the exact look I wanted helped deciding. I didn’t think I’d get that “moment/feeling” everyone talks about when you put the dress on, but I totally did, and it was amazing! »

George Mavitzis Photography beautifully captured all the true emotions from Ayah and Steven’s wedding day in Montreal and we are very excited to share every special moment with you! Their wedding decoration included an abundance of gorgeous white hydrangeas and pale pink roses, a lovely combination that guarantees an ultra romantic setting. “We first met in college with big ambitions to pursue more education through dental school. Common goals, aspirations and upbringing initially sparked great interest, but the countless adventures and conversations really proved there was a deeper connection. What started off as a great friendship quickly turned into a strong partnership. Deep conversations in the art museum transitioned into long study sessions at the library. Fun late-night taco runs turned into even later nights in the anatomy lab. Steven proposed with a beautiful sunset picnic that overlooked the city, making it truly magical!”, the bride shared with us.

“There are many reasons why Montreal, Quebec City, and Mont Tremblant have been North America’s most popular destination wedding locations. Montreal has many beautiful wedding venues, along with its mountains and charming old city streets. One wedding, in particular, was held in the faculty building of the world-renowned McGill University campus. The McGill grounds are located on Mount Royal and had a special connection to the bride’s parents. I could have shared hundreds of images, but I chose some that I felt represented what the couple expressed to me and what they saw in my photography. I will always be grateful for this experience” George Mavitzis Photography shared with us.

“The bouquet of flowers that I chose were a bouquet of white peonies. I wanted a beautiful core flower that made a statement but was not too busy. We really focused a lot on our venue choice when it came to decorations and chose a spot that would match well with the overall vibe we were going for. The venue was a European castle, decorated with marble, hand carved wood and gold from top to bottom. The flowers we chose were all neutral and the decor had gold accents to compliment the venue.”

“Our favorite moment was the first dance and seeing all the people we love the most in one room together!”

“My wedding dress was a custom-made Heidi Elnora dress. After many designs meeting were able to piece the dress together from head to toe. It was an amazing experience getting to try on different fabrics and choosing what you like and works best for you. We went with an A line dress with a glimpse of sparkle on the base with hand woven beading and lace appliqué placed on the bodice of the dress completing it with sheer lace sleeves.”

“My advice to a bride-to-be is no matter how stressful planning it, it is all worth in the end and you’re wedding will be the most beautiful day!”

Wonderful wedding in Canada | Cindy & Xavier

Cindy and Xavier sealed their love with a wonderful summer wedding in Canada! Because of their different preferences, their wedding was full of contradictions blended so beautifully, that they created an unusual yet amazing experience. Xavier wanted a traditional wedding with a Catholic ceremony, but Cindy wanted freedom, a ceremony outside in the nature. So, they did both! Firstly, they had a traditional wedding in the grand Notre-Dame Cathedral and after they exchanged vows in front of the Silo No. 5 building and the greenery trees. The following reception was pure perfection with the hanging plants, the wooden rentals and the many colorful flower bouquets. Enjoy a unique wedding with lot of extremes that turned out as a success!

From the bride: “Xavier wanted a wedding that was very traditional, and I wanted freedom and non-conformity. He wanted a Catholic ceremony in the grand Notre-Dame Cathedral, a block away from his condo in old Montreal. I wanted to be outside somewhere in a place that belongs to everyone, that excludes no one, speaking words that came from our own hearts.”

“Our planner needed to reconcile a lot of extremes and pull together a gorgeous, cohesive design from many disparate elements. Elyna Kudish shares my rebellious spirit and knows how to bring about an eclectic, unusual design that feels totally magical and unique, with all the elegance of a more traditional setup. Our wedding design was full of contradictions that blended beautifully.”

“We had our traditional Catholic cathedral ceremony in the Notre Dame Basilica, and then walked through the cobbled streets of old Montreal. The girls hopped in a horse-drawn calèche, arriving to exchange non-denominational vows in front of the iconic Silo no. 5 as the electric string Bolero Trio played in the background.”

“Our reception brought the outside inside. The modern hall of the Montreal Science Center was filled with hanging plants and massive, juicy bouquets from Atelier Carmel. Our phenomenal caterer Franca Mazza served up a cocktail with hors d’oeuvres celebrating the flavors of Vietnam, Spain and Canada. Our soup course came out in playful teacups. Homemade truffle ravioli, sustainable sea bass and charlevoix filet were served on blue and white china, a nod to Quebec’s Fête Nationale.”

Beautiful Disney inspired wedding | Natalie & Jonathan

Natalie and Jonathan created a wedding inspired by Walt Disney’s as the wedding proposal was made at Disney World! The romantic propose happened in front of the Cinderella Castle… how amazing! The overall theme of wedding was Walt Disney’s fairytale ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The theme affected all elements of wedding including the proposal, engagement, invitations, venue selection, decorations, menus, first dance song selection and floral design. The dominant colors were golden yellow, red and navy blue. For flowers they chose red roses that connect to the story. The two Disney lovers enjoyed every moment of their marvelous wedding. We are sharing today an organic bohemian inspiration shoot in Toronto! With earthy colors such as green, blue and beach and beautiful macramé details in the decoration, this style shoot will captivate you! From photographer Farah Ghazal: “The wedding inspiration shoot took place at Woodbine beach, in Toronto. The groom decided to surprise his girlfriend; she was expecting a male model and she was amazed when she saw him, which gave the whole shoot more personality and reflected their love and excitement. We choose an “organic bohemian beach” theme to reflect a dreamy and airy celebration. We were so lucky to be able to assemble such an amazing team with the same vision. Our inspiration came from textures such as stone and our color scheme was inspired by water and sky colors combined with earth stone colors”.
