«We’ve had mutual friends for years but we were speaking on Instagram for a while after Tom initially messaged me in 2018. He took me on a few dates in London before we decided to get into a relationship and we’ve been inseparable ever since. After falling pregnant with our daughter Mila, Tom proposed to me on a trip to Lake Como. The scenery was perfection, overlooking looking the Lake from a cobbled stairway in Bellagio. On one knee, Tom presented a ring that he’d personally designed (the exact style I’d always dreamed of and hinted about many times). From that day onwards we started planning what was an unforgettable day on July 26th 2025.»

It was perfect, it had a detachable skirt that gave me that dramatic entrance I wanted and in the evening it became the sleek and classy look I visioned. «We first met when we were just 13 years old and spent a few years together as teenagers. Life then took us in different directions. Paul went off to work abroad while I stayed in the UK and focused on building my career in hairdressing. Years later, fate stepped in again when Paul reached out while on holiday in Cyprus and the rest is history. We’ve been together ever since — through moves, careers, babies and building a life together. I spent many of those years (not so subtly!) hoping Paul would propose me. We moved into a flat in London, welcomed our first son and then during the pandemic had our second. That’s when we decided to move to Hertfordshire and build our dream home from scratch. We’ve now welcomed our daughter and, 25 years since we first met, we finally got to plan the wedding of our dreams.»

«Our wedding style was completely personal to me. I planned every detail myself and everything had to match! My favourite colour is brown, so I worked from that as a base, using gorgeous shades of mocha, peach, pinks and soft whites throughout the day. Finding the perfect flowers was so important. «I actually had two wedding dresses, because why not? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment and I wanted to reflect both the romance of the wedding ceremony and the fun of the party after. My main dress was a stunning ivory gown covered in delicate beading, with a long, elegant train and an extremely long veil that flowed beautifully in the sea breeze. It felt so timeless and special, even more so because my son helped me pick it out! I paired it with brown shoes (of course!) to stay true to my favourite color and the theme of the day. Then, for the evening, I had a second dress made, a custom version of a designer bridal mini dress, but with my own twist: it was in rich brown satin. I thought it would look so cute in brown and I was right, it was everything I wanted and more! The hem was shaped like roses, which perfectly matched the mocha tones of my bridal bouquet. I completed the look with matching brown Prada ballerina pumps, the perfect outfit to dance the night away in comfort and style. Both dresses felt like such a reflection of me, one elegant and romantic, the other playful and bold. I loved getting to show both sides on such a special day.»

«There were so many unforgettable moments, but one that stands out the most has to be our “first dance”, which wasn’t traditional at all! In the lead-up to the wedding, we secretly got together with a few of our closest friends and hired a dance teacher. We decided to surprise everyone with a choreographed group dance, not just the two of us, but involving our kids and all our friends’ children too. We spent months practicing a routine inspired by the Netflix series The Perfect Couple. We started the dance with just us and our kids and then our friends joined in part-way through — the energy was amazing! It was such a joyful, light-hearted moment and meant so much to us. We felt so humbled that our friends and their little ones would take the time to learn and perform this with us. Everyone absolutely loved it and it brought such fun and laughter to the night and was such a reflection of who we are as a couple and family. Of course, finally saying “I do” after 25 years together and having all of our loved ones there with us was another incredibly emotional highlight. But that dance? That was pure magic.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her weddings is to trust your vision and stay true to what feels right for you. It’s so easy to get caught up in trends or feel pressure to do things a certain way, but your day should be a reflection of who you are as a couple, not what Instagram says a wedding “should” look like. I planned every detail of our wedding myself and while it was a lot of work, it was worth it because it felt completely us. Don’t be afraid to be hands-on, get creative and make bold choices, whether that’s your colour scheme, involving your kids in the first dance, or even having two dresses! «We first met one summer, at my cousin’s birthday party. I was 19 and getting ready to go back to England to continue my studies, while Iakovos was 27. My cousin insisted that we should meet, she kept saying we were such a good match. But I thought he was too old for me at the time, and since I was about to leave for school, I believed there was no chance for anything to happen. It felt impossible. My cousin was the reason we crossed paths, but life had other plans for us. Back then the answer was «no», leaving our story unfinished, like a chapter that never got completed. Years went by and our lives took different directions. And yet, six years later, that same cousin, who in the meantime became our maid of honor, hadn’t forgotten about that meeting. In her own unique way, she decided to bring us together again, this time at the right moment. Through that second chance, the initial spark turned into smiles, conversations, companionship and, eventually, love. We realized how perfectly we fit together.»

«The wedding proposal happened inside a beautifully decorated Christmas studio, with the greek song «My lucky star» softly playing in the background. Iakovos knelt down and proposed. «Dimitris and I met back in school! We’ve been together since I was in third year of junior high and he was in second year of high school. We used to attend the same afternoon tutoring classes and that’s how we got to know each other. Later, we studied together in England and when we came back to Cyprus we decided to move in together. A year later, we took a Christmas trip to Budapest where he proposed right as the New Year began! It’s been 12 years now since we first got together and we just got married this June.»

«Sam moved to my hometown for work and we met one month after he moved here. He tried to propose me on a family holiday in Cape Verde, he carried the ring around all week but me being me, made it impossible as I kept disagreeing with his plans to go anywhere he suggested. So we then went away to a lovely spa hotel for a night away, a lovely relaxed date night and Sam proposed when we got back to our room. Very intimate and perfect for us!»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is do everything you want to do. I added little details on last minute that I deliberated if they are essential or not but I’m so glad I did! You won’t regret it.

Andria and Roy’s story began back in their college days and blossomed into a deep, loving relationship that was beautifully sealed with a romantic wedding in Nicosia, where their happiness radiated in every glance and smile. The couple chose a boho chic theme, featuring coral roses, anthuriums, eucalyptus and pampas grass, which added a unique touch to both the church and the reception space, thanks to the creative team at Anthopnoi. Andria’s entrance into the church was absolutely stunning, as she wore an airy off-the-shoulder wedding gown by Complice – Stalo Theodorou, with light tulle and delicate lace details that perfectly highlighted her romantic side. Roy was waiting for her, holding a one-of-a-kind bridal bouquet filled with beautiful flowers in earthy tones. The celebration continued with a wonderful reception that echoed the same boho style, and a special highlight was their two-tiered cake, adorned with fresh flowers by Aroma Vanilias, which the couple cut together with beaming smiles as they began this exciting new chapter of their life.

My wedding dress was created by my beloved Stalo Theodorou. What can I say? It was incredible, from the details to the way it hugged my body. I felt like it was made just for me. Even though I had pictured something more classic, the moment I put it on, I just knew it was “the one”. It expressed my personality so clearly, and it’s what inspired me to give our wedding a more boho vibe.

«Our wedding decor was handled by Anthopnoi and the wonderful Mrs. Militsa, who from the very first moment embraced every idea I had and made it even better. My bridal bouquet matched the flowers on our invitations perfectly, a detail that made all the difference. Some of the flowers were anthuriums, hypericum, English roses and pampas grass. The whole wedding was decorated in a boho style, with natural colors and blooms that fit so beautifully with the venue. At the church, lush floral columns on both sides, filled with daisies, roses and so many other flowers, made the space feel both impressive and elegant. At the estate, the table settings were a blend of boho and romance, with woven napkins, oil lamps, lush flowers and little touches like a tiny bouquet of gypsophila tucked into each napkin, making every table unique.»
