«We had known each other since school. He is five years older than me, so when he graduated I was still just a kid. Back then he was the “cool” guy, the school crush, and he already had a girlfriend. If you had told me then that one day I would marry him, I would have thought it impossible. When I turned 18, I moved to Magdeburg for my studies, which happened to be the university city where he had once studied too. He had just returned from there but still had some ties to the city. He saw on Instagram that I was studying in Magdeburg and sent me a message, and that is how we reconnected.»

«He had been planning the proposal for a long time and it was very important to him to ask me at the Empire State Building in New York. That city holds deep meaning for him, it was his dream to show me New York and maybe even live there someday. So proposing to me there was something truly special for him. Unfortunately, in 2021, because of covid our trip was canceled literally at the airport. Instead, we went spontaneously to Mallorca, which turned out to be wonderful too. When we came back, a friend of his asked him in front of me if he had already proposed, and she said yes, which was funny because he actually hadn’t asked me yet. But since we often talked about marriage, I kind of knew something was coming. A year later, when we finally made it to New York, he waited patiently and proposed at the Empire State Building. It was such a huge surprise, with so much emotion and adrenaline, that I honestly didn’t see it coming in that moment, even though deep down I always knew he would ask me one day.»

«When I tried on my wedding dress for the first time, I didn’t expect to get emotional, but I instantly burst into tears. It was a feeling so hard to describe: the moment the zipper went up, I knew it was the one. A funny tip for other brides: don’t rely on photos when trying on wedding gowns. I only let my friends take pictures and later that night, when I looked at them, I panicked. The lighting was terrible, the angles unflattering, and the dress hadn’t been tailored to me yet. I ended up crying again, this time from disappointment. The next day I went back to try it on and thankfully I felt the same magic all over again. That was the moment I knew without a doubt it was my dress. It was strapless, something I thought I didn’t want, with soft ruffle details, fitted at the bodice and flowing into a dramatic skirt with a long train. Somehow, the dress and I just belonged together.»

«We met during the covid period, just before lockdown, through a random twist of fate. The proposal happened in 2024 after a year of living together. I was at home watching my favorite show when suddenly the TV screen went black and Panagiotis appeared with a little video, a heartfelt love confession, and then he came out of the room asking me to open the door because there was a package for me. When I opened it, it was a bouquet with a card guiding me, and as I turned around, he was down on one knee with the ring. It was such a personal and unpredictable proposal, exactly the kind that fits us as a couple.»

We are bringing you a destination wedding in Chania that feels like a true celebration of spring, with details that perfectly captured the couple’s joyful spirit. Alexandra and Christian chose the breathtaking Sea View by En Kipo as their venue, where the stunning setting overlooking the water provided the ideal backdrop for their day. Guests were welcomed with vibrant floral design by En Kipo, filled with seasonal colors that brightened every corner of the celebration. Adding a fun twist to tradition, instead of flower girls, the couple had “margarita men” walking down the aisle, handing out refreshing margaritas to guests on what turned out to be a very warm day, a detail that brought lots of smiles and set the tone for the festivities. «We met nearly 16 years ago at a house party. It wasn’t until 2 years later of Christian being persistent that I agreed to go out with him and now here we are! Christian proposed me in Rovaniemi in Finland. He surprised me with a holiday the morning we were flying and had booked a week off work for me by getting in touch with my boss without me knowing. We did a husky ride and then saw the northern lights. The evening we went to the top of a mountain where an outdoor fire and a small shelter where a chef was making us some food. Within 5 minutes if getting there he proposed as he said he was so nervous and wanted to enjoy the rest of the evening. It was an amazing trip!»

«I love that Christian cried as I walked down the aisle. I didn’t think he would, so this was a surprise! I also loved that instead of flower girls we had “margarita men” who walked down the aisle giving out margaritas to guests – this was very fun and it was a very hot day, so it was appreciated! We loved all the food and cocktails by Fivestar catering. Christian and I are huge foodies, so we needed to make sure there was amazing food and drink. We love an aperol spritz, so had to incorporate those and Christian grew up in Athens for a few years and his favourite dish was Pastichio, so we had to incorporate that into our menu and it was amazing. We also had a 360° camera and a photo booth whoch were both hits! Everyone enjoyed them and having those extra memories has been great!»

«My wedding dress was from a German designer. My dress was an A line dress and bigger than I initially thought I would go for but when i tried it on, I knew it was the one. It was so romantic, flowy and had flower appliqués all over it which I fell in love with. It had a semi sheer corset-like bodice with a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder small sleeves… I also had a long veil which matched and also had the flower appliqués around the edge. I lived having the veil, I wasn’t too sure to begin with but I’m so happy I chose to have it as I think it looks so good in photos and I felt more like a bride.»

My favorite moment from my wedding is right at the end of the night the DJ played a final song which Christian had requested and everyone was on the dance floor shouting this song in one big group together. When the song stopped everyone carried on singing for another 5 minutes and it was so fun and just a moment of everyone being together before the night finished.

«We met in London, the second weekend after he moved there from Lebanon. Although our families had been friends for 20 years, we had never met. He almost didn’t make it to that dinner, but fate had other plans and we’ve never stopped talking since that day. He proposed me at sunset on the beach in Jbeil, Lebanon, my favorite setting and time of day, in our beloved home country.»

«For our wedding decoration we really wanted our wedding flowers to be colorful and whimsical, reflecting the joy of the day, especially for the reception, which took place in a magical venue by the sea (Island Resort Athens Riviera). For my bridal bouquet, I chose classic flowers that are also my all-time favorite: white peonies. Since my wedding dress was a piece of art on its own, I wanted something timeless and understated to balance it out. For the church, which was already magnificent on its own, we kept the decoration elegant and refined with lush greenery and white orchids, classic and chic, allowing the beauty of the space to shine while adding just the right touch of grace.»

What I loved most was how everything came together at the reception: the vibrant flowers, the sea breeze, and the whimsical colors created the dreamlike atmosphere we had always imagined.

Their love story began with a proposal in Nafplio, one of the bride’s favorite places in Greece since childhood and unfolded into an ultra glamorous and timeless wedding designed to perfection. «I did what every other bride does, went to Pinterest. I knew I wanted a very classy and clean look. Something I didn’t want to look back and think I just did it because it was trendy. So I picked all white flower with pops of blue. Everything came out so beautiful! My wedding planner Ioanna Vamvakari did an amazing job…» the bride shared with us. The wedding planner and designer Ioanna Vamvakari curated such an elegant vibe at the reception with dreamy arrangements of white roses, hydrangeas and lilies with striking touches of blue delphiniums for depth and contrast. Set under arches adorned with cascading white florals and glittering chandeliers from Karamalegos Bros – Innovative Event Solutions, the setting was truly amazing. Guests dined at long mirrored tables with golden chairs, while Deipnosofistirion Catering delivered a feast that matched the grandeur of the setting. Every element of the day came together in perfect harmony, proving that this was not only a wedding but a breathtaking experience that will inspire countless moodboards to come!

Kadriye and Yalin’s fall wedding in Molyvos was beautifully inspired by the timeless charm of Ancient Greece, seamlessly blending the couple’s vision with the picturesque surroundings of this traditional village on the northern coast of Lesvos island. Known for its medieval castle overlooking the sea, stone-built mansions, narrow cobblestone streets draped in bougainvillea, and its charming harbor, Molyvos offered the perfect setting for a celebration rooted in history and artistry. «Our families have always loved the Greek islands, their atmosphere and unique character, so the idea of having our wedding in Molyvos came from them. As a designer, I had already studied about Ancient Greece and mythology, while Yalın, being an engineer who also works with design tools, enjoyed creating details like our invitations inspired by the theme. That led us to carry the Ancient Greek inspiration into the wedding decorations as well.» the bride shared with us. Guided by the expertise of Menta Weddings, every detail reflected this theme: the ceremony space was adorned with lush arrangements of roses and hydrangeas, while the bridal bouquet stood out with graceful orchids. White and gold details were woven throughout, from the table settings featuring antique-style statues reminiscent of Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, to the refined glassware and carefully chosen accents that carried the narrative of classical beauty. «Vasilis is from Athens and I am from Thessaloniki. We met during our master’s studies in The Hague, Netherlands, and we have been together for almost eight years now, living permanently in Germany. The proposal happened in New York, right under the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. After he proposed, Vasilis told me that he had originally planned to do it the following day in another spot in the city, but when he saw how excited I was with the view and how happy I had been that day, he simply thought this is the right moment.»

«I think my favorite part of the wedding was our vows. It was right after the ceremony and just before entering the reception area, when we had a moment to ourselves on the balcony at sunset. We know it is not very common in Greek weddings, and in foreign weddings couples usually say their vows in front of all the guests, but we wanted something more personal, just between us. It was so touching to hear a love confession and dreams for the future from the person you love, especially after so many years together. I would truly recommend it to more couples!»

«As for the wedding decoration, I always knew I wanted big white roses and not too much greenery. My bridal bouquet was made only of white Ecuador roses, the church decoration included just two tall flower stands with white roses and baby’s breath, and at the tables we placed small vases with white roses and candles. In one of the venue’s pathways we added large candelabras with candles that created such a beautiful atmosphere in the evening. Overall, we didn’t want to overload the space because it already had this lovely minimal island-inspired aesthetic. It really didn’t need much more, and both of us love minimal design.»

«My advice to any bride planning her wedding is to involve the groom in the preparations as much as possible. It is his day too, and I think they actually want to take part even just a little. We divided quite a few things between us: I handled most of the aesthetic choices while he took care of the more practical aspects. «For my wedding dress, following again that minimal aesthetic, I knew I didn’t want lace, tulle, glitter or anything like that. Of course I tried them on for fun during the search and it was really fun, but deep down I knew I wanted something clean. The one I chose was from Brautblüte, a very well-known bridal experience store in Germany, close to our home in Cologne. It was the Milla Nova, Lancaster. My only criteria were to feel comfortable and to love what I saw in the mirror. I would recommend not overthinking this choice too much because it can become overwhelming as a decision.»
